BiLingual Services International was officially founded in 1980 as BiLingual Services by two native speaker language specialists. Their idea was to establish a language service firm which went beyond the conventional interpreting and translation services available at the time.

The quest was on to unpuzzle language services. A list emerged. Our extensive compilation of experienced language providers with sound field-specific expertise began to develop. Subject-qualified language professionals who know the language and know the lingo. All committed to excellence.

Today, BiLingual Services International is still under the watchful eye of one of its founders, Hortensia (Tensi) Torres-Comas, an experienced state and federally certified interpreter and ATA certified translator, multistate and federal court lead examiner, approved continuing education seminar provider, well known lecturer, and expert witness on matters of language and interpretation.

Our original list of language specialists continues to grow alongside the numerous clients we have been privileged to serve in the public and private sectors. We are computerized, digitized, cyberized and a bit larger than when our original concept was created. But, we are still personalized. We never forget that BiLingual is only half of our original name. Services is what we are really all about.
